Referral reward rules
Short version: joining is free, nobody has to buy anything, and rewards come from real friends who join with your link and confirm their email. Here are the full rules.
Who runs this
The BEHYND waitlist and its rewards are run by BEHYND LLC (being formed in Maryland), 306 W Redwood St, Ste 201, Baltimore, MD 21201. Questions: email us.
Who can take part
- People 18 or older who live in the 50 United States or Washington, DC. Parents and guardians can sign up on behalf of a child.
- The BEHYND team, our contractors and the people who live with them can join the waitlist but can't earn rewards.
- Not open where the law doesn't allow it.
No purchase needed
Joining the waitlist and sharing your link are free. The optional $1 reservation doesn't change your referral count, your place in line or your rewards.
What counts as a referral
A referral counts when someone new joins the waitlist using your personal link and confirms their email. These don't count:
- You, or other email addresses you control.
- Made-up, throwaway or shared addresses.
- Signups that are bought, automated or made in bulk.
- People who were already on the list.
We may remove referrals that break these rules, or remove someone from the rewards entirely if they try to game them. Our records decide the final count.
The rewards
- 3 confirmed referrals: BEHYND for $99 instead of $129. One pod per person.
- 5 confirmed referrals: one free BEHYND Buddy animal cover of your choice. It's a cover only and doesn't include a camera.
- 10 confirmed referrals: 12 months of Circle free, our optional plan ($6.99 a month or $59 a year), starting when you turn it on after Circle launches.
- Top 100: one free BEHYND (planned price $129) for each of the 100 people with the most confirmed referrals when the waitlist closes. You need at least one confirmed referral to qualify. If two people have the same number, whoever joined first ranks higher.
Rewards add up: reach 10 and you get all three. You can earn each reward once.
The $99 early-bird price doesn't combine with the $30 off from a $1 reservation: either way, your BEHYND is $99.
When the waitlist closes
The waitlist closes when BEHYND launches for sale (we plan to start on Kickstarter). We'll email everyone on the list at least 7 days before it closes. Referral counts are final at that moment.
How rewards are delivered
- We'll email the address you signed up with around launch, with a code or instructions. Please claim your reward within 30 days of that email.
- Product rewards are delivered when that product ships. If BEHYND doesn't launch, product rewards won't be delivered.
- Rewards have no cash value and can't be swapped for cash, sold or passed to someone else.
- You're responsible for any taxes on a reward.
Changes
We may update or end the rewards program. If we do, we'll post the change here with a new date. We won't take away a reward you already earned from referrals confirmed before the change.
